Taylor Creek Ranch

Cecilville, California

$499,000 | 104 ± Acres | Siskiyou County
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:

104+/- acres in the prettiest setting, surrounded by Klamath National! Pretty meadows surrounded by tall timber and mountain views everywhere you look! The property has several fenced pastures, one of those old wooden barns that are so charming, a cabin built in 1914 (best estimate - rustic and in need of work) and several other outbuildings. The property is off-grid, with a Pelton Wheel for hydro-electric power, a septic system and year round creek water. One of the previous owners has provided a detailed handwritten history of the property and its occupants through the years, available if you’re interested. You can ride or hike right from the property and reach other trails and high mountain lakes. The Trinity Alps aren't far to the east and the Russian Wilderness to the north. It's about 6 miles back to Cecilville (where you can get fuel, food and drinks). This Siskiyou County retreat ranch is a unique place - these kind of properties don't come along often!

About the area: Cecilville is a small unincorporated community in the southwestern part of Siskiyou County.  It is on the south fork of the Salmon River and was originally inhabited by the native tribe called Konemihu, but the community of Cecilville was settled by miners in the late 1800's. The original town was a stage stop called Brownsville and was located on the flat which now holds the back nine of the Salmon River Disc Golf Course and the community farm.  You can see some additional information and photos at www.Cecilville.com. Cecilville is a great place to launch many outdoor adventures.  It’s surrounded by national forests and wildernesses and its residents enjoy the Salmon River, a wild and scenic river known for kayaking and white water rafting.  Nestled between the Russian, Trinity and Marble Mountain wilderness areas, the area boasts extremely diverse flora and fauna, countless trails including the PCT, many little lakes and streams, deer hunting, bear hunting, trout fishing and more.  This is area can feel like going back in time, a place the modern world forgot.  It’s located in Siskiyou County, at the far northern part of the state.   If you are looking for a place to slow down and enjoy all that nature has to offer, this rural area is it!
