The SIERRA VALLEY LODGE... The very name evokes wonderful memories and rightfully so! Located in a beautiful setting on the edge of the beautiful Sierra Valley in the quaint village of Calpine, the lodge was an ongoing favorite gathering spot and multi-faceted venue destination for decades within, at least, a 50 mile radius! The historic buildings have recently been upgraded and refurbished with dedication to preserving all the historic attributes. Just waiting for the right buyer to step in and open for business! "They WILL come!"

  • Once a thriving mill town, the lodge was constructed in 1919 as a company owned facility to serve its employees for the local sawmill. In the 1940s, when the "company town" was sold, the Sierra Valley Lodge went "public." Quicklyit became the favorite place to be for loggers, farmers, ranchers, cowboys, and locals in general. The word got out and increasingly tourists and passers-by were frequent visitors as well.
  • Today the main lodge building houses a lovely restaurant with full commercial kitchen and plenty of storage. With plenty of seating, inside as well as out on the huge deck, the dining facility is able to accommodate either fine, casual, or special occasion dining. The very popular standard menu boasted prime rib "to die for" as well as giant jumbo prawns not to be found elsewhere, salad bar,and many other popular choices. During the summertime a weekly outdoor barbeque brought locals from miles around for the wonderful ribs and chicken.
  • THE favorite "watering hole" for many years, just stepping through the door of theincredible old time saloonwith its full barand great western atmosphere is an invitation to friends and newcomers alike to "c'mon in!". Complete with a massive rock fireplace, historic artifacts, and a wooden floor, the room is versatile enough for live music and dancing, gathering to watch sports events on big screen TV,or just cozy informal gathering at out of the way tables. PRICE INCLUDES FULL LIQUOR LICENSE (subject to ABC approval.)
  • The spacious outdoor decks andhuge lawn areaattract locals and "drivers-by" to stop for a cool drink and relaxation all summer long. Very family friendly as well, children can play happily on the lawn and adjacent community playground, complete with a baseball diamond, tennis and basketball courts, and picnic tables.
  • The "old Bunkhouse," separate from the main building has been completely updated and refurbished with 12 very comfortable ensuite motel rooms for overnight lodging. An entry lounge room accomodates a sitting area and morning coffee, tea, and, possibly, a continental breakfast. .
  • Just up the street is public access to the USFS roadaccessing hundreds of miles of trailsandinto the Lakes Basin. An outdoors person's dream,it is truly a mecca forhikers, equestrians, snowmobilers, ATVers, fishermen, cross country skiers, snowshoers, mountain bikers, hunters, andphotography buffs.
  • For the deer hunter the trails and roads access the X7A zone and cross into the D3 zone.
  • The Sierra Valley is home, not only to thousands of acres of cattle and hay ranches but, to millions of migrating birds throughout the wetlands of the headwaters of the Feather River. Truly a sight to behold, through the seasons, is this magnificent valley!
  • A real plus is that, above the bar and restaurant, is a very spacious, comfortable, and updatedapartment for either and owner, manager, or caretaker.
  • In the past two years the Sierra Valley Lodge has been painstakenly and meticulously updated and refurbished while maintaining the original historical authenticity. This place could be up and running in very short order! Just get the supplies in and the word out! "THEY WILL COME!"
