Known as Mysterious Valley Airport (FAA – 20CL), the runway (14/32) sits at about 1,410 feet elevation and is compacted gravel and is approximately 3,500 feet long by 30 feet wide. Once you land, there is a taxiway turnoff which allows for an easy turnaround so you are all set up for the departure.
Surrounding the airfield are approximately 140 acres of irrigated pasture land, currently producing an annual cutting of hay. There is a large equipment pole barn, and there are several other outbuildings to support the ranch’s equipment and storage needs. The ranch is off-the grid, and does have a small solar array field installed. It is almost all nearly surrounded by public land, including the BLM’s Knoxville Recreation Area
The fields and valley landscape that surround the main airstrip are home to 20 separate reservoirs of varying size. They continue to be used for swimming, fishing, boating, crop irrigation, and stock watering. With great thought over the past forty plus years, the owner has developed the water storage canal/ditch system, and roads throughout the ranch so that they offer maximum efficiency.
With the majority of the ranch perimeter-fenced with wildlife fencing, the ranch currently supports small herds of bison, scottish highland cattle, and alpacas. Fly in, or drive, Mysterious Valley Ranch is a beautiful, serene place that has many potential uses to offer to a new owner.
